Which post will you use? The post plays a vital role in the structural strength of your railing system and sets its style. Paired with a cap, you can customise it individually, with hundreds of combinations to choose from.
How do I choose a newel post and cap?
The newel post carries the structural load of the railing and sets its style. The cap on top changes the look without changing the post, so the two are chosen separately. Ben offers six posts, Routered Panel, Blank, Sawcut, Shaker, Turned and Fluted, and seven caps, from Flush and Single Stacked through to Victorian and Cottage. Any cap pairs with any post, which is where the hundreds of combinations come from.
