Selected work
The gallery.
Interior railings and staircases built across the Edmonton area. Every piece built and finished by Ben Wheeler himself.
What railing styles are in this gallery?
Most of the work here is metal spindle railing, in square, round and twisted profiles, with knuckle, collar and basket detail on the featured ones. There are wood spindle systems too, along with tempered glass panels, flat horizontal bar railings, and heavy timber posts in a few rural builds.
Finishes run from pale maple and golden oak through dark walnut stain to black stained and white painted. Handrails are shown on staircases, open landings, basement stairwells and half walls. Ben builds the railing and the matching newel posts and caps to suit the stairs already in the house, so the range below is a menu rather than a catalogue.
Not sure what to call the part you want changed? The parts of a staircase are worth five minutes, and the spindle selection guide shows every profile up close.
